Hurricane Irma is bearing down remorselessly on the Caribbean and Florida. Although the storm’s track is hard to predict, hurricane warnings have been issued in Antigua, Barbuda, Anguilla, Montserrat, St Kitts, Nevis, Saba, St Eustatius Sint Maarten, Saint Martin Saint Barthelemy, the British Virgin Islands, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Vieques, Culebra, Guadeloupe and the Dominican Republic. Forecasters predict that Irma will become a category 5 storm, potentially the most destructive.
