5 Gyres 2015 SEA Change expedition is off and sailing through the Atlantic to collect data and illustrate the issue of ocean plastic. The crew of the seven day voyage through the Bahamas includes Jack Johnson, Kimi Werner, and Keith and Dan Malloy.

The expedition is taking place on the 170-foot long schooner named Mystic for seven days in the Bahamian waters of the Atlantic.

One of the goals of the expedition is to perfect the collection methods of ocean plastic so that ordinary citizens can participate in the ongoing analysis and observation of the ocean plastic problem.
