In a new scientific study, researchers are saying that black hole like entities are out in the ocean.

Scientists at Switzerland’s ETH Zurich and the University of Miami have found massive eddies in the southern Atlantic Ocean that by definition, are watery black holes.

Most of these giant maelstroms, ocean eddies, are larger than a typical city, ignore current patterns, swallow anything sucked into them and have their own boundaries - all fitting current black hole characteristics.
